Getting Your Dog to Obey You Through Dog Training

Even though dogs are termed man’s best pal and are thought of as highly obedient, this obedience is not inborn to dogs. This can be inculcated in your dog only if quality dog training is provided to help them understand your commands and how they need to react in such situations.

By proper dog training, it is possible to make your dog more obedient and to make them understand that you are the master and they need to follow your commands.

Different people have different approaches to proper training of the dog and may use several styles, principles and equipment for training. However, the basic concept of dog training is aimed in making the dog follow the commands of the master.

But, the question is how to make this possible and how this is made possible and on what basis does the distinction be made known to the dog that it has to obey the commands of the master.

The key to making this happen for you is the 2 C’s of consistency and compassion. If you have proper knowledge of these two important factors it will work to make your dog obey what you need it to learn.

Consistency is necessary while training your dog. Dogs are not born thinkers and do not understand what they need to follow and obey the master instinctively. Therefore, by consistent training efforts you can make the dog understand what they need to do and what should not be done.

At the same time, you need to approach training your dog with compassion. They cannot follow what is right and wrong as easily as humans do. Therefore, you need to be very patient in your approach to training and by doing so you will naturally develop a good rapport with your dog and gain his friendship and trust.

There are several cases where while training the dog, the trainer may lose patience and end up hurting the dog. This makes the dog lose trust with the trainer and may become unwilling to learn.

Therefore, you need to remember that dogs need great deal of care, time and patience while dog training and it may be quite a while before they learn what you might think is a very easy task. Also, gaining proper trust from your dog will take you a long way in helping you achieve your goals much faster.
